So finally after many, many months of waiting the Vinyl Toys or “Vinyl Idolz” as they are now officially known, have been made into prototypes and are currently on display at The New York Toy Fair. The toy manufacturer Funko even made a life size replica of Bill Murray and The Dude especially for the event. Sadly, these life-like models are not available for sale but we’re hoping to bring them back to the bosom of Bath to have on guard at the Evil Corp head offices. Fear not, Evil fans! the toys will be available in stores by the summer (we hope…) If you can’t wait, (click here) to see the teaser…

The very talented Adam James started 2015 with a bang with his recent performance of the play ‘Bull’ at the Young Vic. The razor-sharp and witty play about office politics & playground bullying received much critical acclaim with The Times calling it “Gripping, nasty & brutish” and The Financial Times adding that it was “Brilliant, unflinching and very funny” and gave it a worthy 5 stars. Who can argue with that?
The gorgeous Keeley Hawes stars as Samantha Mollison in the exciting new BBC One drama ‘The Casual Vacancy’ which premiered last Sunday 15th Feb at 9pm. This new drama adapted from the novel by JK Rowling, set in an English village whose seemingly idyllic facade hides a community at war. It’s been a very busy start to the year for Coy! We thought we could keep him quiet but he really does love a chat. Last week, Mark Denton talked to a wonderful audience at St Luke’s and then for NABS at BBH. In between all his chinwagging, Mark has been shooting a print campaign for PG Tips with Mother alongside photographer Fern Berresford AND another Aldi commercial with McCann Manchester, not to mention fantastic shoots for Evil Corp and Andy Dymock on the side. www.coy-com.com
Ahhh the new year! Here at Bot Inc we love January. No, we actually really do! Perhaps it’s the fresh start? Perhaps the excitement of what’s around the corner? Either way, big plans are a foot at Bot Inc this year. But what happened towards the end of last year I hear you cry?! Well, quite a lot actually. It wasn’t all about festive cheer and mulled wine. Honest!
Evil rounded up an exciting year with an animated homage to The Cornetto Trilogy (click here) which won the grand seal of approval from Edgar Wright himself! Evil also announced the Vinyl toys created by Seth Watkins would be created into toys with the help of US manufacturer Funko. We shall keep you posted as to when you can get your grubby mitts on them.
Loud & Clear Voices were all over Christmas with a Call the Midwife Special starring the beautiful Helen George. The popular series about 1950’s midwives premiered on Christmas Day with Series 4 airing last Sunday. “Unbroken” The highly anticipated first film directed by Angelina Jolie, opened on Boxing Day with the fabulously deep and charismatic Ross Anderson in the role of Blackie. We are pretty sure the WW2 film about a Japanese prisoner of war will be an award winner this season!
Loud & Clear are also working on two top secret big animation projects and a ton of commercials including Head & Shoulders, Centre Parcs & Rightmove to name a few. And the best news, Ripper Street, a Bot Inc favourite, featuring the gorgeous Matthew Macfadyen & will be back on our screens shortly. Good thing we’re not planning on going out in January then!
One More Music Company had a cracking finale to last year with Dave Arch managing to finally put his feet up after another brilliant series of Strictly Come Dancing and not only that he got the recognition he thoroughly deserves with a brilliant write up from Len Goodman and the Daily Mail (click here).

It’s been a while since we’ve seen one of Mark Denton’s infamous talks. Mark is talking at Creature London this afternoon to chat about all things creative. If there are any folk who haven’t seen Mark’s talk and would like to organise one for 2015, please contact us at Bot Inc for further info… We’ve only seen it 2495 times and it still makes us chuckle!
We really like our Saturday nights on the sofa during these cold wintry nights. But for Dave Arch at One More Music Company it’s a very different story. In between composing for films such as Gravity, The Queen, Harry Potter (as well as composing & rearranging for commercials with Mark Campbell) our Dave is the musical director & arranger for those famous dancing folk at Strictly Come Dancing! So next time you see Jake Woods swivel his snake hips or Andy Murray’s mum tense tango, spare a thought for Dave… It’s a 10 from us!!
